MELTEM III Project

This long-term project is based on modification and upgrade of ten ATR72 platforms between the years 2009 and 2011 so as to comply with the requirements of the Turkish Navy for a Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) with Anti Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Maritime Surveillance/Reconnaissance capability.

Main contractor is ALENIA AERONAUTICA, and MARINEX is selected as the subcontractor of “emergency equipment”; after almost two years’ technical preparation, mainly composed of

• Parachute,
• Life Preserver,
• Survival Vest,
• Life Raft for Crew,
• Protective Breathing Equipment, etc. with parts and components specially assembled for MELTEM III, in the light of the success achieved in MELTEM II project.

Within the framework of this project, MARINEX will perform unique “extended warranty” and “extraordinary shelf life” liabilities in addition to the timely supply & delivery of the subject equipment with special technical, logistics, and quality requirements,
